Elder and Dependent Adult Services

services for victims of elder abuse

In 2024, the agency will expand its services to victims of elder abuse in the South Bay area in response to the rise in reports of neglect, abandonment, and physical, psychological, and financial abuse of elder and dependent adults. Our program focuses on raising awareness and training professionals, such as healthcare providers, social workers, and law enforcement personnel, to recognize the signs of elder abuse. We provide immediate intervention and crisis response services to victims and advocate for the rights and needs of older adults who have experienced abuse. In the long term, we offer ongoing support and resources, such as counseling, support groups, financial assistance, housing assistance, and connections to community resources, to help older adults recover from the trauma of abuse.
